Great ideas for the creative organic gardener

It’s competition time again on www.mandycanudigit.com again and this week you can win a copy of new book 101 Organic Gardening Hacks by Shawna Coronado.

The word ‘hack’ is a bone of contention with me (I just don’t like the word, sorry) but there my criticism ends – Shawna’s book, based on ideas that work in her own garden, are a real inspiration, especially if you’re short on cash.

They are innovative, creative and successful – a garden bench she created from leftover wood posts and a few cinder blocks, or the rows of wine bottles buried soldier-style along a winding pathway, (I had one of these with beer bottles but I couldn’t drink fast enough to finish it).

Some of the 101 projects are practical timesavers; others show how to upcycle everyday items in your garden, plus they are completely organic and environmentally friendly.

To sum up: a great book, especially for those who have a creative attitude to gardening, think outside the box and want to improve their environment.

To win a copy of 101 Organic Gardening Hacks, all you have to do is retweet #101GardeningHacks on my Twitter account @MandyCanUDigIt or share the post on the MandyCanUDigIt Facebook page. I’ll pull a winner randomly from my glittery top hat on Monday, February 13 – the competition will close at midnight on Sunday, February 12.

If you don’t win, you can order 101 Organic Gardening Hacks, published by Cool Springs Press at the discounted price of £9.99 including p&p* (RRP: £12.99), telephone 01903 828503 or email mailorders@lbsltd.co.uk and quote the offer code QPG466.

*UK ONLY – Please add £2.50 if ordering from overseas.
