101 Organic Gardening Hacks, Shawna Coronado

101 Organic Gardening Hacks by Shawna CoronadoThe word ‘hack’ is a bone of contention with me (I just don’t like the word, sorry) but there my criticism ends – Shawna Coronado’s book, based on ideas that work in her own garden, are a real inspiration, especially if you’re short on cash.

They are innovative, creative and successful – a garden bench she created from leftover wood posts and a few cinder blocks, or the rows of wine bottles buried soldier-style along a winding pathway, (I had one of these with beer bottles but I couldn’t drink fast enough to finish it).

Some of the 101 projects are practical timesavers; others show how to upcycle everyday items in your garden, plus they are completely organic and environmentally friendly.

To sum up: a great book, especially for those who have a creative attitude to gardening, think outside the box and want to improve their environment.

Order 101 Organic Gardening Hacks, published by Cool Springs Press, at the discounted price of £9.99 including p&p* (RRP: £12.99), telephone 01903 828503 or email mailorders@lbsltd.co.uk and quote the offer code QPG466. *UK ONLY – Please add £2.50 if ordering from overseas.

The winner of the 101 Organic Gardening Hacks competition is Justine Agnew, of Manchester.
