Clear the cobwebs at one of England’s 4 RHS gardens

Wrap up warmly and defy the elements to enjoy Harlow Carr, Hyde Hall, Rosemoor and Wisley in all their winter glory this month.

Come and warm up with a two-course lunch for just £10.95 per person.

Until 19 February: Winter Sculpture Exhibition, Rosemoor.
An eclectic mix of exhibits from a diverse collection of sculptors, using a wide variety of media from steel and glass to cement and pottery.

World War One history

Until 26 February: A Garden Behind Barbed Wire, Harlow Carr.
The RHS Lindley Library reveals a piece of World War One history from its archives: the ‘forgotten’ story of a group of British men who set up a horticultural society in the Ruhleben internment camp in Germany and helped to feed their fellow prisoners throughout the war.

10 January: What Now? January and February, Wisley.

10, 16, 24 and 31 January, 11am: Tuesday woodland walks, Hyde Hall.
Explore the estate and take in the sights and sounds of the seasonal woodland with garden volunteers.

11 January: Make your own beauty products workshop, Harlow Carr.
Discovering how to make your own face and body preparations, from facial cleansers, steam baths, and scrubs to lip balms, hair treatments and body and bath oils, with herbalist Bel Charlesworth. Bookable event.
