Until March 5: Butterflies in The Glasshouse, Wisley.
Step into the Wisley Glasshouse as it transforms into a tropical paradise with more than 6,000 free-flying butterflies.

March 1: The Vegetable Garden in Spring, Wisley.
It’s time to get sowing for bumper crops to harvest in the summer and autumn.

March 1-28: Bath House Showcase – Wool & Textiles, Harlow Carr.
The historic Bath House is showing work by talented local wool and textile artists. Embroidery, felt and leatherwork will be on display.

March 4: Willow Weaving – Egg Collecting Basket, Rosemoor.
Jane Welsh has been a professional basket-maker and tutor for 8 years.

March 4-5: Camellias in the Spotlight with Stretegate Nursery, Rosemoor.
Free event in the Plant Centre.

March 6-April 30: Spring Showcase, Harlow Carr.
A collection of seasonal images from the Lindley Library collections and from around the gardens.

March 8: Willow Weaving – Tipis – 10.15am, Wisley.
Make and take home a willow tipi on this course taught by a local willow weaver.

March 8-9: Willow Weaving – Living Willow – 1.45pm, Wisley.
Learning how to craft with living willow.

March 9: What Now? Spring, Rosemoor.
Seasonal advice from David Perry (RHS Team).

March 9: Early Spring Pruning, Hyde Hall.
What to prune and how-to workshop.

March 10: Garden Walk: The Harlow Carr Winter Walk.
Guided walk of the old winter garden and the more contemporary Winter Walk, focusing on plants used to create an interesting winter garden, regardless of size. Discover colour, scents and interesting forms and textures.

March 11: What Now? Your Garden in March & April, Hyde Hall.
If you are new to gardening or feel unsure what you should be doing at this time, this is the course for you.

March 11-12: Rosemoor Spring Flower Competitions.
Focusing on Camellias, Early Magnolias and Rhododendrons, will also include classes for ornamental shrubs.

March 12: World of Alpines Show, Wisley.
Displays of flowering alpine plants, bulbs, and photographic displays.

March 14: Grafting for Beginners (AM & PM), Rosemoor.
With Jim Arbury (RHS Wisley Fruit and Trials specialist).

March 14: Alpine Trough – 10.30am & 2pm, Wisley.
Explore the weird and wonderful world of alpine plants with our RHS Alpine Team.

March 15: Grow Your Own Vegetables: Spring, Hyde Hall.
It’s time to get sowing for bumper crops to harvest in summer and autumn.

March 18: Spring Arrangement, Hyde Hall.
Learn how to create a spring wreath design with Sue Rogers to enhance your table.

March 18: Beginner’s Gardening (Part 2) – Soils, pruning, seed sowing, Rosemoor.
Ian Smith (Bicton College tutor) takes a seasonal look around the garden learning what needs to be done at this time of year.

March 18-19: Wilderness Weekend, Rosemoor.
Learn new skills, including bow making, archery, dowsing and pot making.

March 18-19: Garden Wildlife in the Spotlight with Devon Wildlife Trust, Rosemoor.
1pm to 4.30pm advisory session, including a family activity.

March 18-19: Health and Wellbeing Weekend, Hyde Hall.
Learn about the links between health, happiness, and horticulture.

March 21: Spring Free Day, all gardens.
Celebrate the start of Spring and explore for free on RHS Free Tuesday.

March 21: March Madness Fair, Rosemoor.

March 22: Spring Propagation, Hyde Hall.
Master the techniques of propagation and get new plants for free.

March 23: Success with Seeds and Cuttings, Rosemoor.
With Helen Round and Catherine Venn (RHS Team).

March 24-26: Spring Plant Fair, Wisley.
Pick up inspiration and advice from the specialist nurseries and choose new plants for the season.

March 25-26: Mother’s Day Weekend, Harlow Carr.
On Saturday (1-4pm), make your mam a scented lavender bag and on Mother’s Day (1-4pm), bring her for a walk in the garden, learn about aromatherapy and enjoy a hand massage. Visit Betty’s Café Tearooms or pick up a treat from the teahouse.

March 25-26: Time with Mum’ – Mother’s Day Weekend, Rosemoor.
Enjoy a carvery lunch in the Garden Kitchen Restaurant.

March 25-26: AGM Plants for Spring interest, Rosemoor.
Plant Centre talks at 2.30pm and 3.30pm.

March 30-April 27: Bath House Showcase: Paper & Printing, Harlow Carr.
Exhibits by new print artists and paper crafters.

March 30: Exclusive Preview Event with Chris Beardshaw, Hyde Hall.
An exclusive chance for members to preview copies of the winning entries from the International Garden Photographer of the Year.

March 31: Willow Weaving – Fruit Basket, Rosemoor.
With professional basket-maker and tutor Jane Welsh.
