RHS Tatton Park: press day in photos

Pictures paint a thousand words when it comes to plants

There are some stunning show gardens at this year’s RHS Tatton, especially planting combinations and rather than have me rabbiting on about them, it’s best you see the pictures and make up your own mind.

My favourites are The Cactus Direct Garden – drought-tolerant plants, spikes, cacti, pines, rust – what’s not to love? Also in my top five is the Let ‘Em Grow Urban Retreat Garden – planting gone mad!

Also, you’ll find no celebrity pictures here – they get in the way of the plants. Many thanks to RHS photographer Mark Waugh, who must be lying in a darkened room by now!
