Four-day flower show in Essex
If you’re anywhere near Essex from August 3-6, make a beeline for RHS Hyde Hall, which is holding its four-day flower show at the garden on the outskirts of Chelmsford.
The show has plenty of shopping opportunities with specialist nurseries and gardening sundries, expert advice from RHS advisors and demonstrations, live music, as well as the chance to explore the garden.
New this year are:
- Exhibits and advice from the British Cactus and Succulent Society and Southend Bonsai Club.
- An expanded Artists’ Pavilion with more exhibitors, botanical art, glass and photography to view and buy.
- Floral art displays on the theme Celebrate Summer.
- Talks from Hyde Hall staff.
Each of the specialist nurseries will be creating a mini display garden to give ideas on how to use their plants at home.
There will be extra catering around the show site serving drinks, snacks and hot food and The Clover Café and Barn Restaurant will be open.
Exclusive to RHS members is the Flower Show Breakfast on Thursday 3 and Friday, August 4, from 8–9.30am. Enjoy a full English breakfast, a guided garden tour and early bird entry to the show. Price £22.50, booking essential on 020 3176 5830.
