Capturing the beauty of early autumn

Until 23 September: Surrey Sculpture Society Trail, Wisley
Contemporary and traditional sculptures by established and emerging artists.

Until 30 September: Floral Fantasia, Hyde Hall
In collaboration with Thompson & Morgan, a display of more than 14,000 bedding plants in pots, containers and hanging baskets.

1 September: Cinema Evening, Hyde Hall
An evening of music, followed by an open-air showing of a blockbuster movie.

1 September–31 October: Autumn Sculpture Trail, Harlow Carr
Find a selection of handmade sculptures, many by Yorkshire artists, taking gardens and nature as their inspiration.

2 September: Autumn Plant Fair, Harlow Carr
Seasonal inspiration, expert advice and quality plants to buy from Plant Heritage specialist nurseries.

Wisley Flower Show

4–9 September: Wisley Flower Show
The last flower show of the season featuring more than 50 specialist nurseries. Including the National Dahlia Society Show, floral displays from Surrey NAFAS, Jonathan Moseley’s Flower Bus and floral art by Anita Nowinska in the Glasshouse.

7–9 September: Autumn Design For Living Fair, Rosemoor
Shop for gifts for the home and garden from independent traders.

7–23 September: The Artists’ Garden Art Exhibition, Rosemoor
Showcasing the South West’s most talented artists, with a focus on gardens and plants as well as landscapes, seascapes and wildlife.

11 September–14 October: Bath House Gallery – Wood and Paper Showcase, Harlow Carr
Arts and crafts inspired by trees and paper art, including paper cutting and jewellery.

14 September: Open Air Cinema – Grease, Harlow Carr
Enjoy an open-air screening in the beautiful surroundings of the garden.

Artisan Food Fair

14–16 September: The Taste of Autumn Artisan Food Fair, Rosemoor 
Try and buy from more than 30 of the UK’s top artisan food producers.

15 September: Open Air Cinema – Beauty & the Beast, Harlow Carr
An open-air showing in the beautiful surroundings of the garden.

15–16 September: Cyclamen Society Weekend, Harlow Carr
Learn about these plants from specialist growers, watch demonstrations and talks and buy unusual varieties.

22 September: Photography Morning, Wisley
Capture the autumn beauty of the gardens, with early entry for photographers at 7.30am.

22 September: Heather Society Show, Wisley
Featuring heathers for sale, planting and care demonstrations and expert advice. Tour the replanted National Heather Collection with Team Leader Mark Tuson.

Plant Heritage Autumn Fair

22–23 September: Plant Heritage Autumn Fair, Hyde Hall
Around 30 nurseries will be selling rare and unusual plants and garden sundries.

22–30 September: O2 Textiles Exhibition – Scraps of Encouragement, Hyde Hall
The O2 Textiles group presents eclectic textile work for sale as well as a group project called ‘Flights of Fancy’.

23 September: Plant Heritage Autumn Fair, Rosemoor
Featuring rare and unusual trees, shrubs and perennials from specialist nurseries.

28–30 September: Autumn Festival, Harlow Carr
Learn traditional wood crafts such as whittling, willow weaving and hurdle making, and see chainsaw sculpting demos.

Real Ale, Gin and Music Fest

28–30 September: Real Ale, Gin and Music Fest, Rosemoor
Live music and real ales from Countrylife Brewery, a gin bar and wines from Ten Acres Vineyard, with a family quiz on Sunday hosted by The Voice radio’s Hopps and Chappell.

29 September: Cinema Evening – RHS Garden Hyde Hall
Music and an open-air screening of the classic Hollywood romance.

29–30 September: Birds of Prey, Wisley
Twice-daily flight displays and the chance to meet the birds and their handlers.

29 September–14 October: Westcountry Potters Association Exhibition, Rosemoor
Celebrating 25 years of the Westcountry Potters Association.
