Increase your stock of tender plants
Take cuttings of tender perennials, such as Pelargoniums (geraniums). If you don’t have a greenhouse, use a light windowsill to grow them on.
Protect half-hardy perennials
Bring inside tender perennials, such as succulents, Fuchsia, Gazania, Lantana and Abutilon, that have been outside for the summer.
Keep deadheading plants
Continue to deadhead plants such as Dahlias, Delphiniums, roses and Penstemon to prolong the display.
Keeps alpines and perennials healthy
Give houseplants less water
