Here are two new lovelies from Thompson & Morgan – tomato Sweet Success and beetroot Morello.

The cordon tomato is best grown under glass and has a vigorous, heavy cropping habit with excellent resistance against wilt and virus.

It’s a cherry tomato with a sweet flavour, each fruit weighing up to 22g. 8 seeds, £2.49.

Purple passion

Beetroot Morello looks great and matures just 12 weeks after sowing The rounded, purple roots have attractive white rings in the dark flesh.

The red stems and purple leaves can be eaten as well as the roots, making this a ‘no waste’ vegetable – perfect for smaller plots or containers. 150 seeds, £2.69.
