Armistice Day and the start of Christmas celebrations

1–18 November: Marion Sidebottom Photography Exhibition, RHS Garden Hyde Hall
An exhibition of fine art tree photography by Marion Sidebottom, with prints to buy. The photographer will be on hand to discuss her work during the weekends.

2–3 November: Rosemoor Live! with Michael Bowyer MBE, RHS Garden Rosemoor
Michael Bowyer MBE, president of the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies, presents specialist workshops on Friday and the artistry of floral arrangements on Saturday.

2–4 November: WoodFest, RHS Garden Hyde Hall
Watch horse logging, chainsaw carving, willow weaving, furniture making, drop-in craft workshops, locally handcrafted items for sale, and a tree trail through the garden.

9 November: An Afternoon with Adam Frost, RHS Garden Rosemoor
Join the Gardeners’ World presenter as he talks about growing up in Devon and getting his start in horticulture, finding inspiration in the natural landscape and what it’s like to win seven Chelsea golds.

11 November: Armistice Day, RHS Garden Rosemoor
Marking the centenary of the end of WWI, Rosemoor will observe the two minutes’ silence next to its display of the Unknown Soldier sculpture. Free entry for serving and retired armed forces personnel and a family guest.

Winter Illuminations

16 November–5 January: ‘Glow’ Winter Illuminations, RHS Garden Rosemoor
The Winter Garden and Formal Garden trees and shrubs are lit up every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Fire jugglers will perform for the launch weekend on 16–17 November.

17 November–17 February: Winter Sculpture Exhibition, RHS Garden Rosemoor
Follow a trail of eclectic sculptures by talented artists and craftspeople.

21–25 November: Christmas Craft Fair, RHS Garden Wisley
A wide range of traditional and contemporary crafts from some of the country’s finest makers.

22 November–29 December: ‘Glow’ Winter Illuminations at RHS Garden Harlow Carr
See an illuminated trail around the trees, lake, Winter Walk, Streamside and Doric columns.

23–25 November: Christmas Food and Craft Fair, RHS Garden Rosemoor
Gifts from specially-selected crafters and artisan food producers then take a stroll around the gardens.
