Woolmans introduces three new varieties

Pinks really take me back to my childhood, as my granddad was a keen grower, and the clove-like perfume is something to treasure.

Now Woolmans has introduced three new varieties of garden pinks for 2019, with wonderful perfume and an extremely long flowering period.

Woolmans’ Tom Stimpson said: “We were so impressed by these new varieties, not only for their delightful fragrance but also for their naturally well-branched habits and incredibly long flowering time – our trial plants were still blooming in early December!”

Ideal for growing in a bright and sunny spot in well-drained soil, they look wonderful planted along border and path edges as well as growing in containers.

Heady fragrance

Place them near to open doors and windows to appreciate the heady fragrance on warm summer evenings.

The three new varieties are:

  • Bridal Crown: pure white fully double flowers.
  • Pink Ruffles: rich double pink blooms.
  • Red Carpet: semi-double bright cerise flowers.

They can be ordered as a collection of six young plants (two of each) for £11.95 with a saving of £5 if ordering two packs. Plants will be despatched from mid-April.
