Making gardening more accessible to all

This another of the lovely companies I met at Glee (Garden, Leisure, Equipment Exhibition). Vegepod really stood out when it comes to making gardening more accessible to the less able.

Whether you don’t have a garden at all or you need a space to grow that’s easy to reach because you have a bad back or joint problems, then the award-winning Vegepod system is for you.

With Vegepod Raised Garden Bed Kits, you get the size of a raised garden bed with the benefits of container gardening.

The Raised Garden Bed Cover – the Vegecover – extends the growing season, accelerates plant growth and protects against pests. The polyethylene knitted mesh cover also helps manage temperature by allowing water and air to penetrate.

Ideal for renters

Great for renters, if you need to move house, empty out the compost and it’s transportable. You can also place the container gardens on castors to move the Vegepod around easily.

Save cash on compost, as the Vegepod requires less than half the potting mix required for a corrugated steel bed or raised timber bed of the same dimensions but still has a depth of 30cm (1ft).

Container gardening means you never have to worry about soil contamination – you can monitor what your soil is exposed to.

Vegetable health is ensured with self-watering technology by using a wicking system and watering the plants from below. Plants can last weeks without watering in the Vegepod.
