Sending love to all and helping to save the planet
1Tree Cards was born from the idea that the love sent through cards could be amplified to have positive effects around the world. Another lovely company I met up with at Glee (Garden, Leisure, Equipment Exhibition) at Birmingham’s NEC, showcasing the best new products. Could you really ask for any more from a card company?
Every 1 Tree Card plants a tree through its partner charity, Eden Reforestation Projects. The trees planted help to restore healthy forests. One hundred per cent cards and envelopes, printed with vegan vegetable-based inks. All pictures courtesy of 1 Tree Cards.
1Tree Cards – plastic-free
Corn and yam optional compostable sleeves for retailers mean plastic-free products. As an LGBTQIA+ owned and operated business, 1 Tree Cards aims to break the boundaries of conventional gender and sexual stereotypes, cutely and subtly. Have you heard about the declining bee numbers and what a disaster this is for them and us? Each card includes a seed token.
These tell the receiver that a tree has been planted for them. Plant the cards and grow them into flowers. Each token contains a mix of Sweet Alyssum, Baby’s Breath, Basil, Poppy, Black-Eyed Susan and Marigold.
No chemical bleaching
To avoid chemical bleaching, the firm has opted for a card that is not bright white. Some cards may have tiny flecks that are barely noticeable and add to the natural feel of the cards. All of the cards are also 100 per cent recyclable.
All cards sold on the website directly to customers are naked. They have no ‘plastic’ wrappings, even sleeves for retailers are made from corn and yams. For more information, visit 1treecards.com. Read about another ethical card supplier with seeds, Hannah Marchaant Cards.
