Bursts of colour to brighten borders and pots
Alstroemeria, Dahlia, and Salvia varieties are being showcased by Thompson & Morgan to brighten up summer and early autumn borders and pots.
Alstroemeria Summer Paradise Series
First up is a trio of Alstroemeria in the new Summer Paradise Series. Holiday Valley, Spring Valley and Times Valley all have a neat, compact habit. Don’t worry about their delicate looks. Their exotic-looking blooms are tougher than they look, able to cope with temperatures down to -15°C. Salvia Strawberry Lake
Exclusive to Thompson & Morgan’s Spring 2020 range is a new ornamental sage, Salvia Strawberry Lake, perfect for the late summer and early autumn garden. It’s a versatile perennial which makes a superb patio plant, flowering from late summer into autumn on attractive, mounding foliage. Dahlia Tropical Breeze
Also new is Dahlia Tropical Breeze with large, uniform blooms for a bedding variety, flowering freely from late May to October. The vigorous plants are neat, bushy and well-branched and show good tolerance to mildew. Like all dahlias, Tropical Breeze makes a striking cut flower.
