Belgravia in Bloom goes Into the Wild, May 22-29
If you’re in London for RHS Chelsea, don’t miss the free Chelsea Flower Show Fringe events, running from May 22-29. The annual Belgravia in Bloom flower festival returns with an ‘Into the Wild’ theme in partnership with the London Wildlife Trust (LWT).
Expect striking floral installations of creatures, from pandas and peacocks to tigers, snakes and underwater scenes. The installations are created using biodiversity-boosting plants and flowers. The LWT aims to boost biodiversity and inspire Londoners to connect with nature.
Visit the LWT’s hedgehog van in Eccleston Yards and make your own ‘seed bombs’ to support biodiversity in their own gardens. They will also have the opportunity to show their support to the charity by donating via QR codes throughout the neighbourhood.
Matthew Frith is Director of Research and Policy at Wildlife Trust and guest judge on this year’s installation competition. He said: “At LWT, we’re committed to inspiring people to engage with and stand up for nature. We’re thrilled to further our long-term partnership with Grosvenor by collaborating on Belgravia in Bloom.”
